What is a "Payee"?

Definition

In the HomeEasyBudget application, a "Payee" is the person, company or entity involved in your bank transaction.

Examples

• For grocery shopping, the payee is the name of the store.
• For a transfer to a family member, the payee is that person.

Creating payees

Payees are usually created while entering a transaction. The application suggests a list of existing payees based on what you type, but you are not required to use it. New payees are added automatically if they do not already exist.

This feature applies to transactions entered manually as well as to scheduled transactions.

Managing payees

You can also add, delete and edit payees outside of data entry. To do so:

1. Go to the "Settings" section.
2. Click the "+" icon.
3. Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the number of payees to manage them.
